Online Affiliate Manager

Reporting to the Sales and Operations Director, the Online Affiliate Manager is responsible for establishing, negotiating and developing strategic partnerships and affiliate relationships. An individual in this position will identify and execute written agreements with cost-effective, scalable and targeted sources of media that can provide qualified and profitable traffic. In addition, the Affiliate Manager will negotiate and acquire inventory primarily on a CPA and CPL basis for banners, email, pop-up and other direct response website inventory, while ensuring that sources maintain the minimum acceptable ROI metrics/goals.


  • Identify online media buying opportunities and negotiate tests to determine profitability of online campaigns.
  • Negotiate, develop, monitor and manage delivery of booked campaigns on CPA, CPL, CPC and CPM models.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Proactively prospect for new clients
  • Identify online advertising opportunities and negotiate tests and/or long-term partnerships for Affiliate Managers and Media Buyers
  • Negotiate, develop, monitor and manage client and publisher relationships
  • Proactively prospect for new affiliates and clients
  • Optimize existing campaigns and offers to increase acquisition rates and overall revenue
  • Assist with revenue generation and client retention strategies
  • Maximize revenue by growing existing client business through the development and/or implementation of new campaign strategies
  • Manage regular contact with clients regarding campaign optimization, growth strategies and other relevant information
  • Collect, maintain, analyze and report information, on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.
  • Act as day-to-day client liaison with advertisers and clients.
  • Maintain/build existing client relationships by consistently providing exceptional service
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships with internal stakeholders: creative, accounting, and sales managers

Technical Expectations:

  • 1+ year experience in Online Marketing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Well-developed negotiation and relationship skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Phone selling/cold calling experience
  • Understanding of CPA, CPL, CPM and CPC experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, competitive, and fun environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Proficiency in Mac computers as well as Microsoft Office applications.  (EXCEL savvy)
